OVERVIEW:

This Brooklyn Heights Family is looking for part-time care, around 20 hours/week, for their spunky competitive gymnast 12 year old daughter! You'll arrive at their place to prepare for the afternoon, head to grab her in Park Slope, and then take her to gymnastics and back home.

There will be chances for extra hours on school holidays. This is a school year position. If you're interested in summer hours, they still need help, though the hours are different.
The Ideal Candidate for this Job

They ideal candidate for this role will be NYC and Brooklyn savvy, confident with public transportation and navigating the city. Experience in busy after-school positions will be prioritized, as the family will ask you to take care of her laundry and prepare a to-go dinner before grabbing her and heading to gymnastics each day. Experience with this age group is also a plus! She's a highly independent preteen so the ability to be her friend while also still staying on top of what needs to get done, is essential.
Schedule

SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday: 2 PM to 6 PM
Ability to assist on school holidays is a huge plus.
If you're able to work in the summer, they have some morning hours and lighter afternoon hours, but it's not necessary.

ABOUT THE CHILD:

12-year-old girl (will be 13 soon!): Competitive gymnast. No allergies. She’s extremely capable and independent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You'll arrive at their house at 2 PM for some household tasks, getting whatever is needed for the day, and to pack a to-go lunch. Then you'll pick the girl up in Park Slope and head to TriBeCa for gymnastics!
Additional Information

You'll need three childcare references that we can call to be considered. You should have proof of Covid vaccination and an in-person CPR certification or willingness to obtain . Ideal candidates will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
