Position Purpose:
Egg Collective is looking for a Finisher with 3-5+ years of experience finishing, who brings technical expertise in spray finishing along with a deep respect for craft, collaboration, and detail. This role is for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, is curious and thrives in a thoughtful, team-centered environment. You’ll be trusted to uphold our quality standards while contributing to a culture built on integrity, care, and design excellence.

Essential Functions:
• Learn and become proficient in Egg Collective standard finishes including dry times, re- coating time frame, mixing ratios and compatibilities, as well as overall completion times.
• Follow a daily/weekly schedule; keep projects on track.
• Perform QC checks to ensure all furniture is appropriately prepared for finishing and
maintain quality control of pieces as they move through finishing processes.
• Work closely with the rest of the team to address any challenges that arise in the
processes, find solutions together for future success. Take in feedback for improvement
through QC process and incorporate it to continually improve the end result.
• Provide practical training and skill sharing with team members and up and coming
finishers within the company.
• Communicate at all times with several team members / managers, including any
observations, needs, issues or delays as they arise.
• Utilize Harvest Time App daily with as much accuracy as possible to track finishing hours
and contribute to essential data points.
• Learn and evolve processes to continuously improve in every aspect of the job.
• Own spray booth maintenance and cleanliness.
• Help develop better standard practices in an effort to streamline workflow. Document
newly developed processes to operations manual for training and consistency purposes.
• Ensure that proper levels of material stock is on hand at all times, working within the
current inventory system. Receive and track incoming inventory.

• Collaborate within the Finishing Department and with the broader team/s.
• Knowledge of different materials and how they respond to finishing techniques.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits:
• $27 - $40 / hour commensurate with experience. Higher end of this scale would require background in management and additional responsibilities within the team setting

Physical Demands:
Physical requirements include regularly lifting / carrying of up to 50/100 pounds of furniture and other heavy materials; ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds, standing for long periods of time; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination; and manual dexterity necessary to operate machinery. Subject to sitting, standing (8 hrs /day), reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:
This job operates out of the Egg Collective Manufacturing Facility in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full- time, 40-hours a week position. The role is an in-person position and cannot be performed remotely.
