I’m offering a quiet, private locking bedroom in my one-bedroom apartment—ideal for someone seeking a calm and comfortable home base in NYC. Available July 1–September 1 (shorter stays welcome, 2–3 weeks preferred).

This is a unique, trust-based co-living setup: you’ll have the bedroom to yourself, and we’ll share the kitchen and bathroom. I’m an artist preparing for a solo show this fall, so I work long hours at my nearby studio and am often away. When I do stay over (likely more nights than not), I sleep quietly behind a curtain partition in the living room on a stowable mattress. You’ll have the full living room to yourself during the day and most evenings.

Hi, I’m James! I’ve lived in this apartment since 2010 and have previously sublet it while living abroad in Japan and Italy. I’m a queer-identified artist and freelance designer getting ready for a solo painting exhibition this fall, which means I’ll be spending most of my time working at the studio or traveling.
