About this Service

For emerging photographers, storytellers, and anyone curious about visual truth-telling.

Join internationally recognized photojournalist Yagazie Emezi for a workshop that addresses power and responsibility of visual storytelling. Drawing from years of experience documenting life across Africa; from post-conflict recovery and women’s health to displacement and youth culture, this workshop offers a guided space to explore the ethics, techniques, and emotional intelligence that shape impactful photojournalism.

Whether you're documenting your own community or working abroad, this workshop centers on how to approach stories with care, build trust, and create images that respect the dignity of the people being photographed while carrying narrative depth.

You’ll learn:

How to develop a story beyond the surface.

The ethics of photographing trauma, conflict, and recovery.

Building a business strategy for longevity and working with intention

Navigating the field: preparation, presence, and personal boundaries.

Tips on editing, and sequencing.

This is not just about taking better pictures, it’s about telling stories that matter, and doing so with integrity.
