South bay is well-funded and apart from those "LA" vibes (the Valley, Weho, Beverly hills, dtla, santa monica etc.) - laid back & down to earth - if you look for the grounding peace, it is perfect town for you. Can get around without a car actually, I take a bus to the airport as well.
