Located on an elevated private road walking distance from Swinging Bridge Reservoir (a 9 mile fishing, boating and ice skating lake) is our house on Moonlight Drive. This was once our weekend haven from the Lower East Side turned permanent resident and art studio before moving to Los Angeles.

About This Lister

We bought the house in 2011. Eddie is a writer and creative strategist and I am an artist. I started developing my sculptures here on Moonlight Drive. It was an incredible place to think, work, experiment and discover nature. I installed a sculpture in the back behind the two large boulders. I will include a photo.

We moved to LA for Eddie’s work. And due to Covid and the demand for alternative places from the city, we started renting. This house was not meant to be a rental but because it is such a special place, it is has been a great experienc that people live in it than to be empty.

We love to cook and entertain. Among the house having an open plan kitchen to dining area and sitting room, the deck, yard and added loft/office offered so many options for activities and special occasions.

We don’t have kids but the previous owners did. In fact, they shared it with another family and the kids spent a lot of time there.

The location is so convenient with our own town offering the area’s big box stores and supplies. Eddie often took the bus on Monday mornings to Port Authority which often took less than 2hours during rush hour.

Winters are rough in NY but our neighborhood is a school bus route so the roads are plowed, outages are serviced, and even though you might not see them - we have full time neighbors.

We are very lucky to be on the top of an elevated private road with no random traffic or passerby’s.
