This apartment is on the first floor in a 6 unit building on a quiet treelined block. The apartment door enters into the kitchen that has original details like thick molding and tin ceiling. The kitchen is the heart of the apartment and is bright and spacious with warm natural light throughout the day. It opens into the main living space with a dining table and a couch for lounging. Within the living area a partition separates the living area from a cozy bed nook with a closet and wardrobe for storage. The living/bed room has no window, so it is outfitted with custom warm light fixtures and twinkle lights for ambiance. The bathroom is through the kitchen and is NYC small, but is curated with custom details to make up for its size. From the kitchen, the backdoor opens onto a large private patio that extends to a private garden. A sitting area, dining area, fire pit, and hammock invite outdoor meals and relaxation.

Enjoy the vibrant night life in this gem of a neighborhood or relax with a glass of wine and the fireflies in the string-lit patio. This location is pretty central, easy to navigate, and close to the subway. Shopping, restaurants, bars, and parks are all within walking distance. A perfect spot for those who like to meander.

A few blocks away from the gorgeous Greenwood Cemetery, a 15min walk to the massive Prospect Park for cookouts or morning runs, and less than 30min to Manhattan by train.

Restaurants, groceries, coffee shops, and a 24hr laundromat are within 1-3 blocks. We are off 2 subway lines, the closest being a 7min walk (R train). There are 2 bus lines within 1-3 blocks as well. This block is quiet. You can walk pretty much anywhere, but there are Citibikes for rent within a few blocks of the apartment for a longer trek if you don't want to get on a train.

We are artists who have lived in NYC for 15 years. We love it here! But we also love to travel. We sublet our place when we get the itch to go and hope to always find someone of kindred spirit to inhabit our little oasis while we are away. We have 2 cats we take in tow with us, but we always manage to leave a little of their fur behind. If you are allergic to cats, this may not be your place.
