Hey all, My roommate has moved abroad and I’m subletting his large private living room (13x11) and adjoining bedroom (9x7) starting August 1, longer term preferred. Rent is $1650 and utilities/internet and a monthly cleaning are $130 per month, so $1780 total.
The rooms have nice light, with three south facing windows over a quiet street in northern Greenpoint. Your living room has a large closet, a built in bookshelf, and a TV if you want it. The bedroom is small and has a nice simple bed frame if you'd like to use it. We share a kitchen and a bathroom, and ideally I'll find someone tidy, conscientious, with a good sense of humor. Irena, the elderly landlord, lives below, which means I try to keep it down in the apartment after 10 pm.
Location is good with a number of restaurants and bakeries in a few block radius. It's a quick 5 minute walk to the G train and a 13 minute walk to the Vernon Jackson 7 train.
I’m in my mid 30s and work as a furniture dealer and artist. I'm often home in the mornings cooking and putzing around, and then head to the studio until late evening. I also spend a lot of time upstate so I'm gone for a week or two most months.

I'm very tidy in the common spaces, I prefer no dishes left in the sink and stuff picked up and put away. In my own room there is sometimes more of a...cycle. Some clothes on the floor, a "junk closet" that needs to be sorted out, etc.
First month and security deposit to move in ($3300), 30 days of notice to move out. Open to short or long term—please tell me what your needs are. Utilities, internet, and a monthly cleaning service are $130 per month, so $1780 total.
