Our home is up the hill from the Hudson River, with a broad porch surrounded by trees and birdsong. It is our family home, and we would love someone to stay there while we spend a month or two in NYC. The house has a newly renovated kitchen; a sun-drenched open plan main space with multiple eating and working areas; and a big front porch that includes a seating area and a full dining table. The 2d floor has a master suite, and an additional bedroom/office/tv room, as well as washer/dryer. The basement has an office, a Peleton, and a large wall-mounted tv with sofa. There is a small herb garden, and the entire property is fenced in with mature plantings. The town of Hastings is a 10 minute walk down the hill, with several nice restaurants and coffee shops, and an excellent public library. The area is hilly, so probably not ideal for folks who are mobility impaired (our internal staircase is also fairly steep). The home's driveway is uncovered, and can accomodate two cars. There is a fireplace, and ducted air, as well as heat. We would like anyone who stay to care for our cats, and respect the fact that this is a quiet residential area with many families.
