Work solo but tired of working in isolation? We have a rare vacancy available at the Asterisk, a community workspace for people seeking a thoughtful environment and working community of passionate, creative and dedicated people.
The office has a large window, carpet, and a large closet. We have central heat and air conditioning and stellar wifi--all included!
As a tenant you'll have access to much more than your office. We have a gorgeous light-filled lobby, a large dedicated parking lot and three all-gender, single use bathrooms. We have keypad entry and video door monitoring and remote unlocking (for the security when meeting with clients in the evening), and white noise machines in the main hallway to cut down on sound transfer.
Tenants have access to the common spaces in the garden level, including a library and lounge, kitchenette and dining area. We have a big backyard for to catch some sun, and community gardens to snack from.
And we're only steps away from a long rail trail for afternoon walks, with walking and biking distance to Uptown Kingston!
The Asterisk also boasts a large space for events and group gatherings. Full-time tenants get a free rental slot each month!
Cost: $600 a month for a 12-month term.
Accessibility: The offices are on the first floor, with four steps to the front door. The downstairs space has two entries: from inside a 13-stair staircase and from the outside a shallow 7-stair staircase.
The Asterisk hosts a community of collaborators and cross-pollinators who are eager to share and grow alongside one another. We enthusiastically welcome people of color, queer and trans folk and anyone seeking an inclusive place to work.

We have the same last name because we are family. We raise a kiddo together in a home we share with a dog and cat in Kingston. We are obsessed about community and think it’s our most powerful resource.
