Position Purpose:
The Production Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of Egg Collective’s production operations. This position is responsible for hands-on assistance in inventory management, quality control, assembly, ensuring that all products meet the company’s high standards for craftsmanship and precision as well as using JIT ( just in time) stock methods, accurately accounting for parts and materials and being organized at all times. The ideal candidate will own this essential, multifaceted and busy hub of the EC process, is technically proficient, highly detail-oriented, curious, inventive, interested in brand standards, upholding them and comfortable operating in both digital and highly physical production environments.
Essential Functions:
Production Coordination & Material Handling
• Maintain, manage and purchase inventory (essential components, finished work and hardware) including organization within the space and determining necessary stock levels, recording / reporting.
• Receive, track, and inspect all components from external vendors for quality and consistency utilizing the Egg Collective brand standards and tools, communicating findings to appropriate channels within 48 hours of receipt.
• Carefully handling, assembling, preparing and cleaning of materials, components and furniture (wood, stone, and metal) with delicate finishes. Assist in physically moving and organizing projects and materials in coordination with the production teams to meet tight deadlines.
• Expertly prepare, pack and crate furniture / components for pick up / delivery including packaging hardware for clients, creation of COA (certificate of authentication), assembly & care card packets as well as samples packaging and sending.
• Manage the pickup schedule and ensure that each item is fully prepared for pickup and that all relevant parties are informed.
• Manage inventory and organization of all packaging supplies & crating material as well as ready products, and securely pack for shipping common carrier shippable furniture and goods while following Egg Collective’s quality standards.
• Maintain shipping supplies and make efforts to make our supplies more eco- conscious.
• Create systems where needed to optimize communication, incoming and outgoing product, organization, tracking and material stock levels and ease of function within the space, ensuring the space is always tidy and clean.
• Develop extensive understanding of the EC brand, standards, and product including but not limited to fine details, functionality, materials, process and company history.
• Assist with photoshoots large and small, logistics as well as on hand assistance for shoot days, to move and position furniture as needed.
• Schedule and facilitate local transport.
Cross-Team Collaboration
• Work closely with Logistics Manager to assist with storage of in stock items; co-manage use of Sortly software
• Coordinate showroom moves for showroom changeover and special exhibitions
• Manage all aspects of completion photos, including taking, staging, organizing folders and logging (Slack) etc.
• Manage sample area including sample inventory and replenishment processes with other teams. Maintain record of all custom finishes selected.
• Manage client sample requests and maintain library stock.
• Oversee all COM (customer’s own material) as it moves through the CFA approval, coming into and leaving shop and record to various channels (slack, G suite, Dropbox etc) to accurately document.
• Own the assembly and production inventory space organizationally, systematically and with regards to cleanliness, while product, parts and components continuously flow in and out of the department.
• Maintain excellent vendor relationships. Guide shippers and other partners when needed with professionalism to help facilitate shipments and the safe handling of product and general safety within the space.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across departments to ensure production success.
Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:
• Driven by task oriented work, ability to work on small and large projects alike, in many different areas simultaneously.
• Ability to read and absorb detailed technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. We value your input, it is welcomed and
necessary.
• Familiarity with Toyota Production System and / or Kanban Systems
• Proficient in G Suite- Sheets/Excel, Sortly, and Slack
• Strengths in graphic design, Adobe creative suite or any drawing applications, writing
and hands-on craft work a plus.
• Hands-on experience in a studio setting is a plus.
• Creative and detail-oriented; brings a strong QC eye and a tidy, organized approach to
every project.
• Highly organized, curious, inventive and self-motivated.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay and Benefits:
• $55,000 - $60,000 / annually commensurate with experience

Physical Demands:
Physical requirements include regularly lifting / carrying of up to 50/100 pounds of furniture and other heavy materials; ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds, stand for long periods of time; visual acuity, speech, and hearing; hand and eye coordination; and manual dexterity necessary to operate machinery. Subject to sitting, standing (8 hrs /day), reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment:
This job operates out of the Egg Collective Manufacturing Facility in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full- time, 40-hours a week position. The role is an in-person position and cannot be performed remotely.
