About this Service

I'm a professional writer, and I am looking to take on new proofreading clients this fall! I will read your projects and catch typos, grammar issues, and formatting errors to help your writing become polished and professional. I'm happy to do quick read-throughs, as well as more involved proofing, editing, and story consulting, based on your needs. I specialize in creative writing such as screenplays, novels, short stories, poetry, and memoir, but I also proofread nonfiction essays, documents, film festival submission materials, grant/job/university applications, and more! I love taking on different types of projects, and am happy to discuss your individual needs on a free 15-minute consultation call before we begin working together.

For my services, remote is preferred, but I live in Los Angeles and could do in-person in the LA area!

About this Lister

My name is Erica, and I'm a writer, visual artist, and rollerblader originally from New Hampshire, now living in east Los Angeles. I love writing stories about love and relationships, disability, and competition. When I'm not working on my own scripts, short stories, and novel, I love reading others' work and helping them shape their stories into their most compelling forms. My favorite things to do away from my screen are going to National parks, painting whatever I see, and blading along the river.

Background and Expertise

I mainly work in film and television, and have five years of industry experience. My films can be seen on Lifetime Television, and I have also done several full, professional rewrite jobs for other filmmakers. I often proof for other filmmakers for both creative and application writing. I received an MFA in writing for film and television from USC in 2021, and studied film and creative writing at Boston University for undergrad.
