We're looking for a new roommate to join our fantastic "unicorn" apartment (or so it's been dubbed). We have a sunny bedroom available November 1st. The room is available to join on a 12-month lease starting November 1st, 2025.

The apartment is a large 4 bedroom, 2 bath apartment (approx. 1,600sq feet) in Brooklyn Heights. Located on the 6th floor of a historic elevator building, this apartment has sunny open views of Brooklyn, ample storage, in-unit washer/dryer, a large "suburban-sized" kitchen and dishwasher. The living room is fully-furnished and the kitchen has all the basics. The building also has a responsive live-in super and is located one block from the Brooklyn Promenade. We are close to a plethora of subways (2/3/4/5/A/C/F/R trains).

This airy bedroom has tall ceilings and can fit a full or queen size bed, a desk, and a dresser. It has a tall, deep closet, which is great for clothes and storage. The room has a window with an unobstructed eastern view of the downtown Brooklyn skyline!

Photos currently show two versions of the room with furniture, but the room will be provided unfurnished. The occupant of this room will share a spacious, sun-drenched bathroom with an architectural sales rep (male, 32). The other two roommates, an educator (female, 43) and one who works in tech (male, 30) have bedrooms on the opposite wing of the apartment and share the second bathroom.

About This Lister

You would be joining two men and one woman who met through the apartment. We're easy-going, direct communicators, and like to keep the apartment quiet and clean. We get along very well but often keep different schedules. We're looking to find a considerate roommate who is interested in joining our home for a year-long lease term on November 1, 2025.

All of us are quiet, laid-back people who are focused on our careers. We don't ever bring the party home with us and often spend weekends out actively exploring NYC (or relaxing in bed watching our favorite shows). We love Brooklyn Heights for its beautiful tree-lined historic streets, the ease of access the neighborhood has to anywhere in the city, and of course the beautiful Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

We enjoy a quick chat but are respectful of others' down-time after long days at work. We're very cognizant of how we use the common areas and clean up after ourselves without being asked. (The living room is attached to one roommate’s bedroom). We're LGBTQ+ friendly and vaccinated. We are looking for someone similar who would fit in well. We prefer someone who works outside the apartment (not full-time wfh).

Rental requirements

In addition to the monthly rent, each roommate is responsible for their share of the utilities (gas, electricity, and internet) and household supplies (toilet paper, dish soap, cleaning products), which together are typically around $80 per person per month. We also share the costs for a cleaner who comes every other week to clean the common areas ($35 per person per cleaning). Security deposit is an additional one month's rent and should be paid upon signing. You must have proof of income with a good credit score to pass the landlord's credit check and application process. Usually a work contract and/or pay stubs suffices. No pets (sadly!) Looking for 1 roommate only.
