Looking for a sitter for my sweet kitty, Polly, over the Christmas holiday as I'll be with family in LA. Polly is pretty low maintenance but will take time to warm up to you (in fact, she may be a bit distant the whole time...the right sitter won't take it personally!) She has few hiding spots that she'll inevitably flee to at first, but give her time, and she'll start to hang out around you more. My advice to win her over is to give her lots of space at first, go about your own business, and talk sweetly to her.
I live in the quiet, tree-lined Miller Park neighborhood of Seattle, short walk from the main drag on East Union St. with great coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores, as well as right down the street from the new G RapidRide, which will get you Downtown within 25 minutes! My apartment is on the top floor (no elevator) and on the corner, so it gets great light. You can even see Mt. Rainier out the kitchen window on clear days! If you feel like staying in, I have most of the major streaming programs on my TV as well as lots of books and a lil crafting corner that you'd be welcome to take advantage of. There's a coin-operated laundry room on the bottom floor of the building, if you need it!
Note - I have Celiac Disease, so my kitchen is 100% gluten free. I understand it's a lot to ask of anyone to be totally gluten free while they're here, but would ask that you try your best to avoid cooking glutenous foods like pasta or bread (the gluten contaminates my cookware) and avoid using the toaster (unless it's gluten free bread). Totally fine if you bring in glutenous restaurant food and clean up afterwards! Thank you for your understanding! <3 <3
