Looking for a long term subletter to effectively take over 2BR apartment January 15 (Start date flexible) - August 5 in Crown/Prospect Heights with option to renew, as already confirmed by the landlord.
The apartment is a 3rd floor walk-up and has 2 large bedrooms and one bathroom, with a separate large living space with ample room for a couch, TV and kitchen table. Each bedroom has its own heater and oversized windows which bring in plenty of sunlight and are great for plants. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, modern cabinets, and a recently installed stove.
The surrounding neighborhood is full of restaurants, bars, cafes, and the apartment is walking distance from Prospect Park and Brooklyn Museum. The building is also close to many subway lines– 2, 3, 4, 5, and A, C trains and is pet-friendly.
This is an unfurnished sublet. We are looking for someone who can sign a sublease agreement for the full term. At the end of the sublet, you will be able to apply to renew the lease as the sole tenant.
There is a laundromat and multiple grocery stores less than 5 minutes away. The apartment is a 15 minute walk to The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Central Library, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park.
We have loved living in this apartment for 2.5 years, and are sad to let it go to move closer to family & friends. We are non-pet owners and non-smokers, so the apartment is in good condition.
I (He/Him) am the leaseholder and have been living in the space with my partner for 2.5 years. I have written permission from our landlord to sublet the space.
My partner and I are leaving because we found an opening that will let us live close to friends and family, but have loved this apartment and especially the neighborhood surrounding it!
