ROLE OVERVIEW
Gardenheir is seeking a Retail Lead to oversee in-store sales and customer experience. This role is customer-facing and sales-driven, with responsibility for staff coaching, daily operations, and representing the Gardenheir brand in person. This position will report to the Operations Manager.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct customer interaction and wants to help grow a thoughtful, product-driven retail experience in a small-team environment.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee day-to-day retail shop operations at our Windham retail location
• Ensure an exceptional customer experience through creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all shop guests
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-merchandised shop, adhering to company standards
• Regularly update merchandise displays to reflect seasonal changes and product assortments
• Meet and exceed sales goals through effective merchandising and customer engagement
• Support online customer service efforts, including answering phone inquiries and responding to emails promptly and professionally
• Coordinate in-store events and promotions to drive traffic and enhance customer engagement
• Become a product expert and be enthusiastic about sharing knowledge with customers and fellow team members
• Train and support other members of the team, ensuring they are knowledgeable about shop standards and procedures
• Gather customer feedback and provide insights to improve the retail experience
• Support warehouse fulfillment team and customer service team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years in retail sales or store leadership
• Strong sales instincts and customer communication skills
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve company initiatives and goals
• Comfortable working weekends and peak retail hours
• Confident, grounded presence with customers and staff
• Must have holiday and weekend availability
