RFB Seeks Experienced Gardeners to Lead Teams in the Field

Red Fern Brooklyn is seeking Lead Gardeners to join our gardening teams.

Lead Gardeners will work closely with our Field Manager to complete maintenance visits and planting installs in residential gardens across the city. We are looking for people who can work a consistent 3-4 days a week.

Lead Gardeners will head up a small group of gardeners (3-5 people) on a variety of ornamental gardening tasks. They will be in charge of disseminating directions and making sure the job is completed fully and on time. Lead Gardeners will be responsibile for making contact with the client, answering questions regarding the work and making detailed notes in a mobile app. Lead Gardeners will also be in charge of tools and monitoring material usage.

Candidates should have experience as a professional gardener in the past with an outgoing personality. Ideal candidates also have managerial experience in horticulture or other on-location positions.

Applicants must be able to lift 50lbs and work outside for the full day in a variety of weather conditions. Those with a clean drivers license who are accustom to driving cargo vans and/or cube trucks will also receive first consideration.
