🛏 ABOUT THE ROOM:
🔹 The room is about 14 ft x 10.8 ft (169” x 130”).
Rent is $1,450/month (+ utilities), with a security deposit of one month’s rent.
🔹 The lease is month-to-month, but we’re ideally looking for someone who can stay for at least May and June. Beyond that can be a conversation.
🏡 ABOUT THE HOUSE:
🔹 The house is spacious and full of character, built in 1908 with many original features.
🔹 There are 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms total. It has hardwood floors, central AC/heat, a washer & dryer, dishwasher, lots of natural light, and more.
🔹 Great outdoor spaces to hang: A furnished front porch + a big backyard with a ping pong table, dining area, fire pit, lemon/fig/loquat trees, grape vines, and rosemary bushes.
🔹 The location is unbeatable—Walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and neighborhood staples like Barnsdall Park, Los Feliz 3, the Vista, the Greek Theatre, and Griffith Park. Also walkable to Silver Lake, East Hollywood, and Thai Town.
🔹 Easy access to freeways (101, 5, 2) and public transit
👋 WHO WE ARE:
🔹 You’d be living with three other people (one woman & two men), all in our mid-30s and working in entertainment/film. We’ve lived in this home for over 6 years and truly love it!
🔹 We’re social but also value our alone time. When we’re all home, we enjoy cooking together, hanging out, going out, and occasionally hosting friends for dinner.
🔹 Each of us travels a lot at different times throughout the year, so the house doesn’t feel overcrowded.
🔹 Overall, we’re down-to-earth and prioritize a clean, comfortable, and communicative home.
🔹 A friendly cat already lives here, so unfortunately, no additional pets.
🔍 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
🔹 Someone who’s also chill, responsible, 420-friendly, ideally in their early 30s to early 40s, and who brings good energy.
🔹 Someone who understands the dynamics of shared living—open communication, shared upkeep, being mindful of common areas, etc.
🔹 Since we all work from home when we’re in town, our ideal roommate doesn’t WFH full-time, but that’s not a dealbreaker.
🔹 We value an inclusive environment—people of all backgrounds are welcome!
I am an independent filmmaker from New England and have worked as both a director and a cinematographer. My schedule is often unpredictable and I travel a lot for shoots and for festivals. My hobbies include playing baseball, skiing, camping, cooking, and frequenting the repertory cinema scene in LA.
Other roommates in the house include a lifelong friend of mine from NH (another independent filmmaker) and a close friend from Emerson college who works in public relations in the entertainment industry.
Rent is $1,450/month (+ utilities).
The lease is month-to-month, but we’re ideally looking for someone who can stay for at least May and June. Beyond that is a real possibility, but will need to be a conversation based on the fit.
