Hey!

We’re looking for a new person to join our home! The largest room in our East Village apartment is available for $2300/month at 176 E 3rd St—right in the heart of the neighborhood and just a short walk to the Delancey–Essex St subway station. It’s a fantastic location with plenty of cafes, restaurants, gyms, groceries, and laundromats nearby, while still being on a street that’s not too noisy.

The room itself is spacious with great natural light, a beautiful exposed brick wall, and built-in wardrobe/storage. It can comfortably fit a full to king-size bed, plus a desk, drawers, and mirror (The room will be unfurnished). The apartment also has a cozy living room and a fully furnished kitchen area, both with great lighting, which are free for everyone to use.

You’ll be sharing the apartment with three friendly and respectful roommates—all students in art and design fields. We keep things chill, with no strict rules, just an understanding that shared spaces are cared for. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who vibes with a creative, easygoing household and wants to be part of a warm and welcoming space.

About This Lister

I’m Jenny! I’m currently a junior in the BFA program, focusing on painting and sculpture. I’m not a total neat freak, but I do my best to keep things organized, especially in shared spaces.
The rest of my roommates are amazing peers in art and design: one in fashion, one in architecture, and one in graphic design. They are really sweet, and all incredibly creative and talented! The energy they bring into the house makes it such a fun and inspiring place to live.

Rental requirements

You’ll need to be approved by the landlord and meet us before signing the lease.
The new roommate must have decent credit and, with the rest of us, meet the gross income requirement of 40x the rent.
If you’ll be using a guarantor, you’ll need your own. Both guarantors together must show 80x the rent in gross income.
Once approved, all parties will sign paperwork to finalize the lease transfer
