We have a room for rent beginning May 1st! You'd be signing on to a lease with us - but we are also open to a sublet if it is for at least a few months.

The apartment is a quick walk to the L and M trains in Bushwick. This is a bedroom in an old-fashioned railroad - but we all use the hallway to get to the common area, so no going between anyone's rooms. We share one bathroom, and the common space is an open living room/kitchen.

Your room is the only bedroom that is actually in the common area space, so you wouldn't need to deal with that.

The bedroom itself has a closet, and does have a window - although the window is very close to the building next door, so this space is best for someone who enjoys a darker, quieter space. However, on the other side of the room there are french doors to the living room/kitchen, so you can get plenty of light if you would like that way!

We are on the second floor of a three floor building. Our landlord and his family lives right below us, which is wonderful because he is there to help when we need him. This also means we are extra respectful of the space - the building feels like a shared house in a way, and we aren't partying here, but rather recharging from our busy lives and enjoying the calm.

If you are a smoker of any kind you have to go outside, and move down the block away from the building, as our landlord does not tolerate second-hand smoke coming in through his windows, and none of us like the smell coming into the building.

We all clean up after ourselves and pick up household supplies as they run out, wiping down surfaces in the kitchen, and do our dishes promptly.

You'd be living with three people - two guys and a girl, in our twenties through thirties. One guy isn't home very much, so the main two you'd be living with are both full-time employed retail workers, friendly, clear communicators, and early risers. We try to use headphones after 10pm-ish, and just generally are on the quiet side at night due to our schedules.
