One bedroom for rent for $700 in a three apartment building.

It has a decent sized closet and there is a possibility of some shared closet space in the main living space as well.

This is a relatively speaking spacious apartment in beautiful Ridgewood. A short walk away from all amenities and in a very calm, quiet neighborhood (one of the few dead end streets in NYC!). Ridgewood, with many restaurants, cafes, bars and venues nearby, especially when you head south.

The space has tons of plants and I welcome more. I also have ample cooking supplies that you can use (crock pot, blender, rice cooker, nutribullet, baking pans, etc) but please use my stuff respectfully and if something does break I may request it be replaced. (nutribullet has wear and tear so I get that if it craps out with time) Because my other roommate and I have plenty of our own cookware and housewares it's a good space for someone who is traveling pretty light due to storage reasons.

There is also a space off of the living room that I used for creative purposes but also has enough space for me to do yoga.

I love cooking with people so I am open to cooking together and share food if we can communicate well about how we are doing that.

Overall it's a pretty calm space outside of my cat occasionally trying to solicit some snuggles, pets, and treats. I am a very patient, flexible person very good communication skills so I definitely want to make sure you are happy in your living space.

I get up pretty early for work from September to June so if you stay up late and are in the bedroom please be quiet. Because the bedroom is cut off from the main space you can actually be pretty loud there and I won't hear anything. You can obviously do whatever you want out of the apartment but please don't bring the party home unless you give us a heads up and it works time-wise. Guests are welcome as long as they interfere with my sleep schedule and am ok with my early wake up if they sleep on the couch.

The expectation is that you pay one third of the utilities each month ($75) and contribute to cleaning every week. I try to do general upkeep every day (cleaning up spills, etc) and will sometimes leave my breakfast dishes in the sink if I'm running late in the morning but always wash them when I come home. I like all roommates to contribute to typically do a big clean every weekend (wipe down/dust the common space, vacuum, mop, clean the bathroom) but I'm definitely not type A and understand if you have a super slammed weekend one week.

Bonus points if you are into cooking, yoga, meditation, art, education, and love plants!

As one might expect of someone who works with small children, I'm a laid back and friendly, and understand that no one is perfect. I am a former suicide hotline volunteer, meditate upon compassion and whatnot and have been teaching for years so needless to say I'm low drama and actually like have roommates and communicate well with my housemates. Please be pro-active and openly communicate any concerns you have with me and we will work together if you have any concerns.

The second roommate, Tim is a public health graduate student at NYU and grief counselor. He is pretty busy during the school year so you won't see him much but she is friendly and has good energy when he is around.
