I am leaving the city and am giving up my room in our space in Bed-Stuy / Clinton Hill. We are on the 3rd floor in a six-story luxury building with beautiful big Brooklyn windows looking out.
The apartment is a 2 bed 2 bath with washer / dryer in unit, a well-equipped kitchen and a great rooftop! We have a living room in between bedrooms with lots of plants, where we often hang out and have dinner. I have created a wonderful friendship with Mel (roommate) – we often cook and brunch and just generally look out for each other. The living situation was very much based on friendship and it would be great if that would be the priority or wish for the next roommate as well.
The space is left pretty clean and orderly, which is a priority, but as each person has their own bathroom it keeps the space for conflicts around cleaning to a minimum :)
The neighborhood is great with many cafes, a Food Emporium, Key Foods nearby and a deli with everything you need just a 5 minute walk away. We are close to Fort Greene and Herbert Von King Park and on the G train – so it's also quite easy to get to Manhattan.
Mel is originally from Nanjing, has been in the city for over 4 years now and works as an archivist for a large scale firework artist. She is a very peaceful and kind person and has recently added a black cat to the family. She fully takes care of him and he is very well behaved – so no shared responsibility other than cuddles (if you want) :)
I am open for any further questions and to leaving as much or as little furniture in the room as wanted / needed.
I am a designer and have been living in New York for 2 years now. I am looking to join a design program outside of the US which is why I am having to leave the space prematurely.
No specific requirements other than kindness and willingness to live on a friendship basis :) Other than that a very open and judgement free household.
