About your room: Closet equipped, high ceilings, south-west facing windows with much light. No balcony access. Approximately 12' x 8', minus 2' x 5'-3" of closet space.
About the unit: We're on the third floor of a 3 storey walk up (negative accessibility points). The living room is furnished, and your bedroom unfurnished. If you have any furniture for the shared spaces that you’d like to bring along, you’re welcome to discuss with us! Common areas total approximately 18' x 19', with living room, bathroom, dining and kitchen area.
About your future neighborhood: Our community is heavily Latino & Bangali, with some East Asian, Turkish and Irish American presence. There's a bunch of grocery options, restaurants, a middle school nearby and a Saturday farmer's market. We're two blocks from the 46 ST / Bliss Street station on the 7 train, which is currently having an elevator installed (yay for accessibility!)
Our ideal roommate: Would appreciate someone who takes their own initiative to clean and maintains a good standard in this regard. Happy to cook together if desired. We occasionally have guests over and enjoy hosting, but are otherwise a quiet household for the most part.
About your future roommates: You will be living with two adult males (he / hims), both partnered up, who met in grad school studying urban planning. We work full time and as such are out M-F, 9-5.
Personally, I do community and labor organizing on my spare time and enjoy community oriented arts and culture. I cook and do majority of the cleaning (typically sometime on the weekend). I'm very detail oriented with space arrangement and cleaning.
Rental Terms: Joint tenancy (one year lease starting August 15, with the landlord's approval).
