π About us:
I'm a 27 yr old software engineer who has lived here for five years. I work from home, but in my free time I enjoy gardening, kayaking on the east river, and going to concerts! I cook a few nights per week and occasionally host friends or family. I'm relatively sociable but believe it's important to respect each other's space and downtime. Because I work from home, I like to get out of the house on evenings and weekends.
Your other roommate will be a 26 yr old who has lived here for one year. Before this, he lived in London and Dubai. He works in event planning and is interested in photography. I'll connect you with him directly if it seems like a good fit.
π About you:
An ideal roommate is responsible with rent, cleans up after themselves, and is open to the occasional hangout. Not really looking for someone who brings the party home. Basically: take care of yourself and try to not bother other people, which is good advice in general :)
Historically, we've had a communal culture. Almost everything in the kitchen and living room is shared. If you are protective over your belongings, they are best kept in your room.
The neighborhood is popular among professionals in their late-20s. That said, a variety of people have enjoyed living here including grad students, a professor, and creatives.
Preference will be given to folks who communicate well and don't waste time in making a decision. Generally start with a video chat and then offer an in-person tour.
I am the leaseholder and a resident.
