Hi all, I have a room for rent in my 2-bedroom apartment in Jackson Heights (which I own). The room is currently furnished with a queen size bed.

I am open to shorter or longer term arrangements (up to a year) but would want someone who is planning on staying at least 6 months. I'd also be open to charging less for someone who is looking for a place to stay part-time (maybe you work in the city but live upstate and need a place to stay a few nights a week.)

A little about the room/space:
My apartment is a 5th floor walk up(unfortunately no elevator) in 10 unit building. I have two cats, and can't have any more pets in the space sadly. The kitchen has a washer and there is a shared (free) dryer in the building's basement. No dishwasher. There is also roof access in the nicer weather for sitting outside in the sun.

The building is in central Jackson Heights, about a 5 minute walk to the 7 train (82nd Street) or a 12 minute walk to the E/F/M/R. There is a greenmarket a couple of blocks away on Sundays, and I am right off of the 34th street Paseo Park.

I am a public interest lawyer and work at home usually 2-3 days a week. I am 40 yrs old and queer. I tend to prefer my home space to be pretty quiet, but have friends in the neighborhood with kids who sometimes come by on the weekends. I am medium in the messy to neat spectrum.
