Room in furnished apartment available for rent. I’ve been in this rent-controlled apartment for nearly nine years, so I can say with confidence it’s impossible to find as great a rent for the location!

Located at 4243 Monroe Street, this 2 bedroom/1 bath is spacious with hardwood floors and lots of window for natural lighting and has its own in-unit washer and dryer. It is a short walk to the Vermont/Santa Monica Red Line, which travels directly to Union Station. The apartment is set back from the street; it’s amazing how quiet and peaceful it can feel. A great respite from city living.

Rent comes to 1,229.41 monthly, with an additional $40 for Internet. Utilities are paid every two months and, typically, are never more than seventy a person, often less. (It depends on the time of year.) Street parking only.

I am graduate of the UCI MFA program in writing and am looking for a queer-friendly roommate who values a peaceful and restful space. Book- and art-lovers are more than welcome.
