This listing is for one fully furnished room in a fully furnished apartment with three (3) bedrooms, one (1) bathroom and an art studio. We have short and long-term options:

Aug 6–Sept 1 ($55/night or $400/week)
Sept 1–May 31, 2026 ($1300 + $300 monthly utilities/house cleaning/shared supplies)

The long-term sublet is ideally for 9 months, with potential flexibility on start and end date, and the possibility to renew for another year when the lease renews. We are looking for a subletter that has a busy and active life outside of the home like us, and when at home wants a clean quiet place to relax, sleep, and work on creative pursuits.

The apartment is a converted warehouse and has a classic loft layout with an open concept living room-kitchen and tall ceilings. The bathroom has a waterfall shower and a deep soaking tub. An in-unit washer and dryer are convenient as you don't have to carry laundry up and down the 4 flights of stairs. It's a walk-up! It also has a rooftop, courtyard, and bike storage.

This room is great for someone without much stuff beyond clothes and personal items since it's well-stocked with everything else. The bedroom has a comfy memory foam king-size bed, desk, chair, and monitor. Work from home is ok as long as you also have an active life outside the house.

One roommate (she/her, early 30's) is a busy manager working long hours at a bar, another is an architect (he/him, early 50's) who spends his time at the office and at his house upstate. Another person (she/her, early 40's) doesn't live there, but has a small art studio and drops by a few times a week on nights and weekends. We don't care about your age, pronouns, or what you do for work. But we do care that you're responsible, clean up after yourself in common areas, and are a good communicator.

Conveniently located, it's a 7-8 minute walk to the Montrose L and Lorimer J/M/Z trains. Walk included, you can get to Manhattan in under 30 minutes. It's about 15 minutes to the Broadway G train for cross-town travel through Brooklyn.

To simplify sharing expenses, one person is responsible for all shared costs. They pay for everything, calculate average expenses at the same time as every lease renewal, and divide among people for the following year. This includes $180 for utilities (fast WiFi, gas and electric), $40 for household supplies (soap, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, etc), and $80 for bi-weekly professional cleaning. Through May 2026, expenses are $300 per month.

About This Lister

Currently two people live here full-time and another person has a studio space in the apartment. You would be our third roommate. The full-time roommates are a bartender and an architect who are not home much. We're busy, work a lot, and like a quiet home when we're here!
