Creo is seeking a detail-oriented, skilled Sample Sewer who can bring our designs to life through thoughtful construction and expert handling of various fabrics. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for craft and quality, who wants to grow with a self-funded start-up and be part of building something meaningful from the ground up.
You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality garment samples that can be photographed and considered for production. The work requires precision, adaptability, and a strong understanding of how materials behave and come together—particularly in intimate apparel.
We’re looking for someone who is excited by challenges, values feedback and iteration, and wants to be part of a creative, evolving process. Though our current focus is on menswear, an understanding of womenswear and its approach to tailoring, fabric, and form is a major plus.
This is a part time, freelance position,
At the start it will be one off garments utilizing recycled fabric or deadstock, as we grow being able to pursue ideas and turn them into physical samples to see how they photograph and perform. Freelance into a part time position is the goal.
Must have sewing machine of their own, one that is able to sew a brief together as well as work with elastic.
Starting $25/hr, or $60 per sample. Please reply with your typical work format, if hourly or per sample typically works best for you.
Most times I will have sample for you to sew from, although I may ask you to aid in editing those samples for production. However I do have the resources to outsource.
Please send samples images of your past work, a website if you have it, and your social media. I'd prefer to meet you in person where you may be sewing. Would start with an intro phone call to meet one another virtually.
