-Who We’re Looking For-
This is more than a room rental — it’s a community.
Ideal housemates are:
• Excited to contribute their special magic and offerings to the community vibe.
• Warm, communicative, and collaborative
• Responsible and reliable
• Community-oriented but self-reliant
• Comfortable with monthly house meetings and shared care of the space
We want to be upfront: we’re putting a lot of care into curating a household that feels nourishing, collaborative, and aligned. That means we are selective about who we invite in—not to be exclusive, but to protect the culture we're building together.
I’m Simi (she/her). I’m a black queer feminist, musician, facilitator, and community builder in my late thirties.
After 12 years in Brooklyn, I bought this fixer-upper and have spent the past year transforming it into this whimsical, colorful space that is meant to foster connection and presence.
My dream has always been to create a modern-day Golden Girls-esque home where multiple generations of womxn and femmes can come to build community on a deeper level.
A little about me:
✨ I love dancing, circlesinging, designing magical spaces, designing intentional gatherings, and sharing in collaborative creative projects.
🌱 I care deeply about ecology, women’s liberation, and finding new ways to build community beyond the status quo.
🌼 I’m a “bubbly introvert”—I value quiet time to recharge, but I also love being intentional about sharing meals, conversation, and creative time together.
As a housemate, I’m all about clear communication, kindness, and keeping our space feeling welcoming and peaceful. I like to have regular (monthly-ish) check-ins so we can stay connected and keep everything running smoothly.
I live here part time. When I’m at the house, you’ll often find me writing, cooking big meals, or doing yoga on the deck.
