Hi! I'm Marina from Brooklyn, NY, and I currently work at a film production facility managing client experience and the stages, coordinating events, and developing internal support systems. Previously I've worked as a learning and development consultant for non-profit organizations and companies in India, Tanzania, and Nigeria. Helping others has always been at the core of what I do, and incorporating creativity and learning into the way I help is incredibly important to me!

I've lived abroad for many years, and while I've loved it, at this point in my life I'm looking to stay still and rooted. I hope to get myself into a place of my own eventually, but until then I'm looking for a cozy, homey, and bright space that I can settle into.

My ideal living situation would be an unfurnished (or minimally furnished) bedroom that could feel relatively private, with good natural light. Because of the nature of my work, my schedule changes daily, but I frequently have very early mornings and am out of the house for most of the day. When I’m home, I spend a good amount of time to myself, but would love to live in a home that is welcoming to me having a couple of friends over every once in a while. I love to cook (though don’t get around to it much these days with my schedule), but would be happy to have a kitchen that encourages it. Being a considerate roommate matters greatly to me, and I'm hoping to find a situation where my roommate(s) feel the same :)

My budget is not as flexible as I’d like it to be, but I absolutely love pets and plants and would be happy to pet sit or plant sit to help us find a price that works for us both! I need a place by September 1st, though I could move in earlier if that's an option. Bed-stuy is my preferred neighborhood, but I'm open to Brooklyn generally!
