Hello! My name is Kelly, I'm an audio journalist living with my partner in Brooklyn. We have been in the city for over a decade but we'd like to explore what it might be like to live a bit closer to nature!
I'm looking for a furnished apartment, cottage or house of some sort for July and August. My main desires are a porch or yard, some nearby nature, and decent wifi (since we'll both be working remotely.) Actual location is quite flexible: I lived in Vermont for years prior to coming to New York, and it would be really nice to be near old friends. But also Catskills or Hudson Valley? Lots of flexibility here!
We have a sweet senior collie-mix named River who would be coming with us, so openness to pets is important. He is truly the chillest dog in the world and mainly just likes laying around and sniffing the air outside (it's super cute.)
Our budget is 3k with wiggle room for the right place. We can also be somewhat flexible with our dates, but it depends on the exact details. We are clean, conscientious and would be very happy to take care of your plants / garden / chickens while you're away.
Thanks and please let me know if we might be a good fit for your space.
K
I am an audio journalist (I've worked for Radiolab, The Daily, Articles of Interest and 99 Percent Invisible) in my mid-30s. My partner Stephen is an editor in academic publishing. We are both from upstate but have lived in Brooklyn for over a decade now. We enjoy generally chill passtimes-- working in the community garden, taking River (our senior collie mix) to the park and making art. I spend most of my free time making ceramics.
