Hi! My name is Madi, I'm from upstate NY and I just moved to LA a week ago and am looking for a long-term living situation. My long-term situation unfortunately proved to be unsafe/unlivable so I am currently in a sublet and seeking an unfurnished spot. I am open to month-to-month or a lease situation [6 months or a year, etc.] If I can't find that, a long term sublet situation can also be considered. My move-in date is flexible!!

My budget is not high but I do not need any extra amenities or an updated spot. I am ok with an older place and prefer them to newer, modern buildings.

Ideally $1800 and under for a full space or $1400 or under for a room. but I am willing to discuss if this is not possible and we can try to figure something out for the right space. [Please don't message me about my specific budget if you don't have anything to offer!]

A neighborhood that is walkable or situated in nature would be ideal for me. Situated in nature/around trees is my DREAM SITUATION! If I can find a quiet spot that isn't too far from hikes that is also great. I'm not interested in living in a busy spot.

Spots on the East Side like Mount Washington, Eagle Rock, La Canda, Los Feliz, Pasadena/Altadena etc. peak my interest but I'm open to many locations as of now as I have yet to explore everywhere and am learning LA!

I have a small mellow dog and a chill cat. My dog has converted many small-dog haters and Pomeranian haters.

If I can't find my own space i.e. a studio/1 bed, I'm open to seeking a space with a like-minded roommate or renting a room! I want to live in a peaceful spot that can be feel like home.

As a roommate, I'm pretty mellow and keep to myself but also enjoy talking to my roommates and hanging out from time to time. I take care of my messes and enjoy a clean space but am not Type A by any means.

I love hiking, rock climbing, going into the ocean, and creative endeavors like drawing and jewelry making. I love going to the movies and went to film school. I'm big into wellness/movement and am excited to explore LA and California!
