Greetings: I am a Los Angeles based veteran stage/tv/film actor who will coming to New York in October to work in a new Off Broadway musical which is scheduled to play from mid-October through mid-Dec with a likely extension into the first week of January.
My wife and I are very responsible and reliable long time homeowners (37 years in the same residence) who are looking to sublet a studio or one-bedroom furnished apartment for our three month stay during the show.
The musical will play near Union Square, so something in the walkable vicinity would be preferable but not essential. The actual work dates would be: arriving October 5th, 2025 and departing January 5th, 2026, so that would be ideal. But we would understand if we had to start the sublet early (October 1st) and end early (December 31st) and would make other arrangements for the last few extra January days of our stay.
We are both non-smokers and have no pets. We keep a clean house and would be sure to care for your residence as lovingly and respectfully as we do our own. However, we would need the apartment to be a no-pet, non-smoker space, including no cigarette smoke from other apartments. Our main desire is that the neighborhood be good and the space clean, reasonably uncluttered, simple. A washer/dryer would also be a big plus, but not essential. Also, no upper floor walkups, we prefer elevators :)
In return we can promise that we will be friendly, trustworthy tenants, eternally grateful for your helping us solve our NY housing challenge.
Thanks so much for your time and consideration and looking forward to hearing from you soon!
All the best...
I am a veteran actor who began my professional career after graduating with an MFA from UCLA in 1978. I have over four hundred professional (union) credits including work in television, film, theater, commercials and voiceovers. I have worked internationally as well as in both Los Angeles (where I'm based) and in New York where for six years I was a regular performer on a children's television series. I also met my wife at UCLA and we have been married for nearly 45 years. I have two daughters, both of whom are in the arts (the older an artist, the younger a writer for children's television), one granddaughter, and a grandson on the way (due in November when I'll be in NY performing in the show). I love clean, safe, quiet, living spaces, but am also very adaptable (a skill I've acquired from all my professional travels). My wife and I lead a simple, responsible, quiet life, no loud parties, no loud music. We are very considerate neighbors and good communicators (quick replies to emails, phone calls, etc. if you have any concerns or needs). Other than that I will add that I take my work very seriously and will be in New York to do the job I've been hired to do, no more no less. I am also a very positive person who will be sure to meet your needs and/or requests with regards to the subletting of your residence. Thanks again for your time and consideration!
