I am a neat, tidy, and considerate female adjunct professor, who enjoys cooking and has lived in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill for 20 years, seeking an affordable (upto $1300) bright and sunny studio or large bedroom in a shared apartment for long term in Brooklyn for a move in date by Jan. 1st or Feb. 1st 2026. Looking for an unfurnished studio/Junior 1BR, or Large bedroom, with kitchenette and includes or has the usual amenities and access to a washer/dryer in the apartment/building is a plus. The space will ideally have lots of natural light/sun light, for my indoor plants. :)
I would like to live in an area that has cafes, parks and is walkable or bikeable to the neighborhood of Clinton Hill, so any of the neighborhoods of Fort Greene, Bedstuy, Bushwick, Boerum Pl., Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Crown Heights, Navy Yards or South Williamsburg, Parkslope or Windsor Terrace would be ideal, but willing to commute to Tarrytown, Pleasantville, Bonxville and Ossining areas, as long it's close to the MetroNorth for my commute.
If it's an apartment-share, or house-share, with a roommate/ roommates then I hope you appreciate relaxing, quiet time and enjoy cooking and eating great food at home together at least on occasions at the very least. I am also great with animals and plants and happy to help in exchange for some reduction in expenses. I also have a Costco membership & great references from landlords.
I'm having to give up my current apt. because my elderly landlord's daughter is moving into my apt in May help her aging parents, in whose home I have enjoyed living in for 20 years.
I'm quiet, read, and sometimes like listening to vinyl records. Love to cook, share and eat great healthy food. I love movies too. I dog sit and dog walk on the side.
