Available Sept. 1st we have a small room for rent ($1200/mo) in a 3br/1ba apartment in Bed-Stuy, off Jefferson by Throop.
The apartment is on the top floor of a 3-story walk-up. It is fully-furnished, although the room will be empty. The apartment has high ceilings, hardwood floors, and a large living room with south-facing windows. There is roof access, some space available in basement storage, a washer and dryer in-unit, and a dishwasher. Utilities are roughly $90/mo per person depending on season and usage. The apartment is not rent-stabilized.
THE ROOM: The room is at the back of a railroad-style apartment. It has a north-facing window facing the court-yard with a fire-escape and a closet. It can fit a full-size mattress, a small desk, and shelves depending on configuration.
We don't bring the party home--the apartment is quiet most of the time--but are okay with throwing occasional shindigs (birthdays, dinners, etc). Sometimes we watch movies or shows together. We value keeping the shared spaces clean, especially the kitchen. We've been living here for three years and are aiming to renew our lease in September.
LOOKING FOR: Someone thoughtful and responsible who is willing to sign a 1-year lease. Must be okay with cats! We're open to anyone and are both easy-going people.
If you're interested, please reply with some info about yourself and your availability to come by to see the room. What's your favorite dish to cook?
Closest transit is the C at Kingston-Throop (8 minute walk), the A at Nostrand (15 minute walk), or the G at Bedford-Nostrand (20 minute walk). The B43 and B26 are also around the corner.

The landlord will require a copy of ID, two bank statements, and two pay stubs. The security deposit is $1200, payable to the outgoing tenant.
