We’re hiring a Part-Time Social Media Assistant / Content Creator to own short-form content creation across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
This is an in-house role for someone who’s confident, creative, outgoing, and thrives in live environments, especially events.
You’ll lead content ideation, filming, editing, posting, and performance analysis while collaborating closely with internal teams and creative partners.
This role includes event coverage, in-studio filming days, and weekly content planning meetings.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Content Creation & Execution
Ideate, script, film, and edit short-form video content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Film content in our studio space as well as on-site at live events
Create on-the-spot TikTok content at events, including interviewing guests and capturing real-time moments
Attend weekly planning meetings to map out content strategy and upcoming shoots
Manage the entire short-form content pipeline from concept to publishing
What Each Reel Includes
You will be responsible for the full execution of each piece of content, including:
Editing reels using CapCut
Adding overlay text
Script writing (for voiceover-based reels)
Recording and editing voiceovers (when applicable)
Song selection
Writing captions
Spell-checking and polishing captions
Researching hashtags with strong SEO
Posting on Instagram
Posting on TikTok
Strategy & Growth
Stay ahead of trends, viral formats, audio, and digital culture
Ensure all content feels platform-native, relevant, and competitive
Collaborate with internal teams to align content with brand storytelling and campaign goals
Work closely with creatives, artists, and management teams to understand and execute creative vision
Research, identify, and pitch influencer and creator collaboration opportunities
Build and maintain authentic relationships with creators, partners, and event guests
Track and analyze content performance and adjust strategy based on insights
Comment and and intentionally engage with audience and planners
Experiment with new creative formats, editing techniques, and platform tools
Maintain a strong understanding of major and niche platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, Discord, Pinterest, X/Twitter, and Snapchat
Experience editing short-form video using CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar
Comfortable creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Basic design skills using Canva or Adobe Suite (nothing fancy, just clean + on-brand)
Strong understanding of social media trends, viral formats, and digital culture
Confident filming in public and at live events
Comfortable posting live on Instagram during events
Outgoing, extroverted, and not afraid to speak up or give direction
Creative thinker who can turn ideas into content quickly
Good eye for pacing, storytelling, and what actually performs online
Organized and able to manage multiple pieces of content at once
Open to feedback and collaboration
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to jump in where needed
Comfortable working in fast-paced, creative environments
