Unfurnished, queen-sized bedroom in a two bedroom one bathroom apartment with one roommate. The room has a large closet with two shelves for extra storage, two large windows overlooking Astoria Park, and a fire escape with room to sit and relax. The room measures slightly larger than 10x9.5 ft.

The rest of the apartment consists of a dining area, living area, and tv. There is a full bath and large kitchen off a spacious entryway. The apartment has two walk-in shared closets off of the entryway and dining area, in addition to the bedroom closet. Water, gas, and heat are included in rent. Electricity and Wifi are split between the roommates.

The apartment was renovated last year and is a second-floor walk-up in a small building (6 units) with an attentive landlord. There are multiple laundromats within a 5 minute walk and options for pick-up wash and fold. It is a 10 min walk to the Astoria Blvd N/W, a 5 minute walk to the Q100, and the Q69 picks up on the corner. The neighborhood has great shops and restaurants and it is lovely being right on the park.

You would be living with me, a 30 year old, queer (he/him), graduate student currently getting my PhD in Geography at the CUNY Graduate Center. I like to cook, collect vinyl and art, and spend time exploring the city. I plan to be gone part of the upcoming year for research related to my program. We would work together to find a subletter who you would feel comfortable sharing the space with for that time. I keep a clean and comfortable home. I am looking for a friendly, clean, and communicative roommate who I can share this special apartment with.
