Large 230 sq ft (approx 15 ’x 15’) bedroom with two windows and backyard view in a Spacious, Light-filled 3 Bedroom/1 Bath apartment. Prime Greenpoint location!

True 3-bedroom (not a railroad!) - layout allows for maximum privacy. Other two bedrooms are across the apartment at the front of the house.

Easily fits a Queen size bed (or even a King) and lots of other furniture with ease. Previous roommate had fit a wardrobe, dresser, desk, keyboard in the room … and still had lots of floor space leftover for yoga etc. Seriously, so spacious!!

THE APARTMENT
Large 8’ x 4’ bathroom with shower/tub, large window, nice tile, lots of counter space and tons of storage.

Kitchen is 9’ x 6’ with a window, dishwasher(!) fridge, microwave, blender, storage, full assortment of cooking and dinnerware. We have lots of spices etc you are welcome to use.

Living room is 13.5’ x 14’, with two backyard facing windows and ceiling fan. Furnished with a kitchen table, chairs, floor lamp and rug, and lovely houseplants. Beautiful backyard with tons of plants and greenery, as well as a huge tree, and access with patio and furniture.

The building is on a quiet residential block, with a south bound bike lane.

Great bars, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping in the neighborhood. Cheap and clean laundromat at the end of the block. Super convenient to everything you need, the area is so great! It's a very clean and quiet building. There are only 5 apartments in this 3 floor building - our apartment is the entire 3rd Floor. Neighbors are quiet and have lived in the building a long time.

No subleasing/No AirBNB allowed (per landlady).
No Pets.

UTILITIES
Heat and hot water included in Rent.
Average utilities (electric/gas/internet) monthly bill comes to $70 per person. They will be slightly more in the summer depending on AC use. (AC use requires AC Bracket per landlady).

Household items (TP, paper towels, dish soap, cleaning supplies etc) are purchased regularly by one of us and split monthly (approx $25 pp/month)

We are looking for someone who works full time, is clean, organized, respectful and is looking for a tranquil place to call home. Long term preferred, at least one year. Proof of stable income, two references (see below for full details on paperwork required by landlady, and rental agreement through land lady’s real estate agent for verification and approval).

Rules are pretty simple, no smoking indoors, be considerate and clean up after yourself. We just ask that you do not constantly have guests over or bring the party home!

We like to keep our home clean, comfortable and quiet. We don’t bring the party home and you’ll match this vibe. Our home is really our sanctuary - we relax and unwind here. We are super respectful of each other’s space and keeping the place looking great and clean are a super important part of that. We rarely have guests over and are looking for someone who can share our general home ethos.

We keep different hours so coordinating the bathroom in the morning and throughout the day is never an issue. We keep in touch a lot through group-text.

Alex is in her late 30s, works full-time M-F (in person) at an art museum in the city. She is also in school part time. When she’s not working, she’s tending to houseplants, studying or reading. She has lived in the apartment for 6 years.

Brianna is in her late 20s, works full-time (in person) in fashion, and is usually never home but sleeps a lot when she is. She has lived in the apartment for about 4 years.
