This gorgeous, light-filled, railroad-style one-bedroom sits on the second floor of a well-maintained historic multi-family home overlooking the idyllic McGolrick Park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. A welcome, quiet respite from the busy city, this apartment is situated in a safe and welcoming neighborhood. It has been fully refurbished and features a secure video intercom / lock system. Steps from coffee shops, grocery stores, bars, and restaurants -- plus, a great farmer's market on Sundays!
In terms of transportation, the apartment is a 10-minute walk from the G train, which connects you to many Brooklyn neighborhoods and offers easy transfers to Manhattan. It's also close to multiple bus lines (B62, B43, B48) and a longer, but manageable walk from the L train. While there is no in-unit laundry, there is a laundromat just a block and a half away.
With high ceilings, a light-filled bedroom, and a massive kitchen (with a dishwasher!), this is the perfect place for an individual or couple to stay while visiting NYC.
Utilities (hot water, gas, electricity & high-speed internet) are included. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
A bit about me (Eliza - she/her):
I've lived in New York for over 8 years, two of those years in Greenpoint. I moved into this gorgeous apartment just a few months ago — hence, some empty walls! --- But, it is by far my favorite place I've lived in all my years in NYC. I work as a contractor for the United Nations and will be off-contract for a couple of months this summer. As such, I plan to travel and stay with friends during August and early September.
I am looking for someone to take care of the space while I am away (dates are flexible). The ideal subletter is responsible, clean and friendly. I'm hoping to find someone willing to stay for a full month. However, I am also open to having someone for a shorter-term stay.
I absolutely love this apartment and this neighborhood! I hope to find someone who will love and respect this place as much as I do. And, I would be happy to provide recommendations for great food, sites, coffee shops, vintage and thrift stores, and neighborhood bars for you to visit during your time here!
