Hi!

I'm looking for someone to sublease my apartment long term. It's fully furnished, including a bed, couch, several large closets, bookshelves and two desks.

The large living room has two windows facing the courtyard below. This room is huge ... historically it's been a bedroom suite or you can just partition it into different areas like home gym, recreation, work station, etc. There are a couple of Devil's Ivy plants on one windowsill. The common space is a wonky-shaped foyer with a lounge chair, a couple of side tables, and a cute alcove where I've kept fancy dinnerware for display. The bedroom is also quite large with two spacious closets. It faces a side street so it's quieter than the main road. It gets great light; I've enjoyed many a daydream session sitting in a comfy chair gazing at the tree outside the window.

There's wifi, heating, and an AC window unit in the living room. In-building laundry facilities and there's an elevator too but the door does not open automatically (old-fashioned design with two doors and the outer one you have to push). The six-story building is part of a large complex comprising many units connected by a central courtyard. The super is on site if you need anything and the building is accessible by both stairs and a flat surface for entry.

The apartment building is located next to two wonderful parks, Ft. Tryon and Inwood Hill Park. In .3 miles, it's easily walkable to the A and about .4 miles to the 1. It takes about 40 minutes to midtown by train.

This is a good situation for someone (or a couple) who enjoys walks in the park and living in a family-oriented community. Not to mention an enormous apartment!

I have lived in this wonderful apartment for 12 years but now I'm off to Germany for a Master's program in sustainability policy. It's such a great space that I have not moved once since I've lived in the city!

The ideal sublessee is someone (or a couple) who is open and friendly, and enjoys outdoor spaces. In addition to being communicative, you're tidy and clean up after yourself.
