About the apartment
Great natural light through the whole apartment. It’s a 4th floor walk up. In unit washer/dryer and dishwasher. Central air. We love this location. It’s steps away from the Kingston Throop stop and a ten minute walk from Nostrand. A short walk to the Tompkins street strip (Peaches, Warude, Chicky’s, Corto, Peace & Riot, Arise Yoga & more). There’s a grocery in every direction, Foodtown, Roots Grocery & Met Fresh all about a five minute walk.

Pricing
We like to give full transparency about the pricing. The apartment is $3450 without utilities, and each room is priced based on the square footage (though we split the $50 dollar increase evenly).
- The available room $1547 (162 Sq ft) includes personal bathroom, bathtub, fire escape with rooftop access, and closet
- The medium room $1067 (114 Sq ft) includes closet, fits full or queen bed, shares bathroom
- The small room $837 (86 Sq ft) fits a full bed, fire escape access, no closet (previous tenant installed a pipe for hanging clothes), shares bathroom

Utilities
Gas & electric are usually somewhere between $60 and $100 each month. And internet $20/month.

Lifestyle and compatibility
It’s important to us to create an environment where everyone feels able to communicate openly, both with directness and kindness.
We don’t have a cleaning schedule, but we keep a calendar on the fridge where we each jot down when we took out the trash so we can know when it’s our turn and hold ourselves accountable. It’s a system that’s worked well for us. We are both type B, but we value cleanliness in the shared space.
Not a party house, though open to the occasional dinner party. Friends and partners are welcome. So long as we’re considerate and communicative, guests shouldn’t be an issue.
We keep the temp at 72.
No smoking inside.
No cats.
