Furnished and spacious room in the heart of Ridgewood with lots of natural light. The apartment is a large bi-level ground floor 3 bedroom/1.5 bath unit with a backyard. We are flexible on both start and end date.
We’re a queer couple (M and P) in our early 30s who have lived in the building for 3 years. This listed room is typically used as our guest bedroom and we are now seeking a subletter. Our priority is getting someone to begin their stay as early as March 1st, but we can be flexible for the right person.
Our apartment is a serene space to restore. We both have heavy in-office professional commitments and keep busy social lives mostly out of the house. We’d love to find someone who will similarly spend the majority of their time out and about, and who will contribute to a friendly and calm vibe when here. Preferring to find someone who is queer or QTPOC.
The space is minimal-but-cozy and quite tidy. The bedroom with yard access has been turned into an office; when P isn’t WFH, we keep the French doors open to keep the living room bright and breathable.
The room we are offering is ~11’ x 10’ and comes with a nice, firm queen bed w/ frame & elegant curtains. It faces the street, gets great light and airflow, and has a small closet; it is right next to the upstairs bathroom and to the front door of the apartment, so it’s very easy to keep to oneself as desired when staying there.
LOCATION: Immediate access to the M train and short walk to the L means getting around the city is very efficient and simple. Within a few blocks are many Ridgewood staples: Rolo’s, Hellbender, Cholita, Topos, et al. Very short walks to Bushwick classics and the Dekalb L while still retaining a distinctly Ridgewood neighborhood feel.
M works in the music industry and is a born-and-raised New Yorker. P works in public relations and is originally from California. If we’re not reading at home or at the yoga studio, we’re most likely found out dancing. (Nowadays and Basement are short walks away…)
