I’m subletting my private bedroom in a recently renovated 4BR/2BA apartment. Available 11/1/25 (or sooner if needed) for lease through 5/31/26 with opportunity to renew. The other three bedrooms are filled by young professionals (two medical residents and one designer). We keep shared spaces clean and the apartment is generally quiet.
- Photos labeled "Bedroom #2" show the room unfurnished, and there's one photo with my current set up, but it will come unfurnished
- Utilities: ~$50–$100/month (internet, gas, electric)
- In-unit washer & dryer
- Large kitchen with great cabinet space, pantry, and big island
- Two full bathrooms—spacious and modern
- Bedroom is about ~100 sq. feet with a closet that has built-in shelving so overall great storage. (The apartment unit is ~1600 sq feet.)
- Bedroom has two windows (south- and west-facing) with excellent afternoon/evening light
- Building has elevator and Amazon locker; no doorman or gym
- The apartment is on a rent-controlled lease
Location
- Southwestern Crown Heights, close to Prospect Heights, Park Slope, and Prospect Lefferts Garden
- 5–6 minutes to Prospect Park; easy walks to Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden, and Central Library (10–15 min)
- Transit: 2/3/4/5 and B/Q lines within ~8–9 minutes, making Midtown/Downtown Manhattan very accessible
- Groceries: Foodtown and Western Beef within ~5 minutes; deli downstairs
- Great nearby restaurants, cafés, and bars
What We’re Looking For
- Single occupant for one bedroom
- Someone who is respectful, tidy in shared spaces, and communicative
Video walk-through link available—just ask.
If you’re interested, please send a brief intro (work/school, schedule, move-in timing) and we can set up a quick call or viewing.
There are three other tenants in the apartment. Two of them are resident physicians at a nearby hospital, and the other is a designer. All three occasionally work from home but for the most part are in-office. Apartment is usually quiet but each of us occasionally has friends over or hosts visitors for a couple of days at a time, and we've never had issues with this. The shared spaces are massive so the apartment has never felt cramped to me. Cleanliness and respect for roommates' work hours/need for rest are important to us.
I have lived in this apartment for 3+ years now; for the size, location, and price I just couldn't justify moving out. But now I will be moving in with my partner nearby and therefore and am hoping to sublet my room through the rest of the lease. There is no obligation to, but you will have the opportunity to resign when the lease is up on May 31, 2026. The apartment is rent controlled so rent increases are modest.
