Looking for one roommate to take over the lease for 1 bedroom with option to resign in September 2025. Rent is $1040 but doesn’t include utilities which average around $70 per month (more or less depending on the time of year).
The bedroom is approximately 8x10 feet and has one large window. It includes a closet with shelves. The room can fit a fulll/queen bed, dresser and desk. The apartment has high ceilings, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, and exposed brick. Bedrooms are south-facing so you get quite a bit of light. We have in-building laundry, but there are laundromats nearby, including one on Franklin Ave that is a block away.
We’re a block away from Franklin (lots of restaurants and bars if you’re interested) and two blocks from the 2/3 and 4/5 trains. Prospect Park, Brooklyn Library and the Brooklyn Museum are pretty close too (about a 15 min walk).

J #1 (they/them) - Likes their job. Likes to make things. Loves walks in the park and going to the beach (gets very serious about building sandcastles). Likes to read (has read the same book 30-40 times at least). Likes to talk. Caretaker of cat.
J #2 (they/them) - Academic worker and union organizer. I love to cook and occasionally practice instruments, and I'll happily exchange hot takes with you. Not a huge party animal and like my peace, but also love our community time in the living room.
W (she/her) - Songwriter and prospective linen salesman. I play bass for my friends sometimes. I like reading and video games and yapping. Might get home late from shows and practice during the day, but very receptive to requested quiet. I will be nice to you.
First month and deposit. Credit score of at least 700, income 40x the rent. Guarantors are highly accepted.
