I am renting out my sunny, top floor, furnished 1-bedroom apartment in South Harlem. Available starting Sat Aug 09 through Oct 31 2025. I am ideally looking for one person (or couple) to rent this entire time - I am flexible on the exact dates.
Located on 116th Street just steps from Morningside Park, less than 2 blocks from the 116th B/C train and the many restaurants and bars along Frederick Douglas Blvd. We are just 7 blocks north of Central Park and 3 blocks from the heart of Columbia University campus.
The main living room/kitchen has three large north facing windows that give lots of light throughout the year. Kitchen is has all the basics, and the living room has a large comfy sofa facing a 42” TV with Apple TV and a Sonos Beam speaker. Converted closet in the main room is now an office nook with a large built-in table and includes a 27” external monitor for your computer needs and a Herman Miller Aeron chair. There is also a small bistro table and two chairs by the windows. The bedroom has a firm Room & Board Encased Coil mattress. Large closet with plenty of room for your items and a large dresser. Bathroom is off the bedroom, cozy and bright with good water pressure.
Since this is the last apartment in the building (5th floor walk up) you’ll not have people walking by your door all times of day and night and frankly this gives this home a since sense of privacy. Additionally, being on the top floor means more light coming into the apartment and no massive fire escape stairs blocking half your view.
This is not a modern fancy apartment. The kitchen cabinets do have some wear and tear on them and the radiators look a little beat up. Please do not rent and ask for repairs to these things – it’s not in the cards.
No pets allowed. No replacing furniture.
$2,400 includes rent and all utilities. Wifi is plenty fast.
Looking for someone responsible, clean and caring to the space and neighbors.

I ask for one month rent and one month rent security deposit. The rental period can begin anytime after Aug 9. However it must terminate Oct 31 as I return back Nov 1. I do ask for rental references and we will sign a simple rental sublet agreement. Please share a bit about yourself and why you want to live here.
