This dreamy corner bedroom features 3 large windows overlooking the Botanic Garden. It's breathtaking - sunny, breezy, tastefully-furnished, and full of plants. The price includes all utilities and high speed internet.

I prefer to start the home share as a 3 month a "trial period". If our ways of living and personalities vibe seamlessly, this room is available long-term.

The apartment itself is a huge, fully-furnished 3 bedroom, 1 bath prewar apartment with 9 foot ceilings and windows everywhere. It's currently occupied by three roommates: a lovely hetero Dutch couple in their early 30s and a queer male in his 30s. The lease holder is a woman in her 40s who lives full-time in the Hudson Valley and visits on occasion.

We are a vegetarian home with no meat cooked in our kitchen. We are looking for our fourth. The kitchen is fully stocked with every imaginable gadget bc we are avid cooks. We split the cleaning and house chores to keep our home fresh and inviting. The house is home to dozens of plants we all pitch in to keep thriving.

Folks visiting the apartment are always surprised by the scale of the space, which is ”unexpectedly large” in real life. Each bedroom is massive. With ample private as well as common space, we are all is able to work from home if necessary in quiet privacy. And, with Prospect Park and the Botanic Garden literally steps from home, you can be in nature within minutes of shutting your laptop.

A respectful, friendly, and harmonious atmosphere in our home is FUNDAMENTAL. Over the past 10 years, it has been an a welcoming haven for international folks and people new to or returning to the New York City. Some have stayed for 6-12 months, although many end up staying for several years. The apartment is fully-furnished and stocked to the gills so you need to bring very little to feel comfortable and at home.

Crown Heights is bustling with restaurants on Franklin and Washington Avenues, the BBG and Prospect Park are literally across the street, there is a CitiBike parking lot on our corner. Subway trains surround us. Weekend farmers market at Grand Army Plaza is 10 min away.

In all, this is just a great place to live. We are warm, mature people looking for a roommate who will appreciate the beauty and serenity of the space and will add to it with their tranquil and respectful vibe. This is not a home for loud music, smoking, or ruckus. We get along best with someone sociable and friendly but who can also fill their solo time. COVID taught us the exquisite importance of transparent and clear communication.
