I’m looking to rent the second bedroom in a beautiful, spacious 2 bed/1 bath apartment on a tree-lined street in prime Williamsburg.

The room:

The room is a great size and gets lovely natural light through an east-facing window. It has a large closet and a built-in AC unit. It fits a full sized bed.

The apartment:

The living room and kitchen are fully furnished and decorated, with a dining room table and a smart projector with lots of streaming subscriptions. My current roommate is open to selling her room furniture as well. I have all shared kitchen essentials (pots, pans, plates, etc). The apartment has central heat and an A/C unit in the living room.

The building:

The building has six units in total, and our apartment is on the third floor, which we share with one other unit. The apartment does not share any walls with the other unit and we are on the top floor so it’s pretty quiet. There is coin-operated laundry (w/d) in the basement.

Location:

The closest train is the Metropolitan Lorimer L/G, which is three minutes away walking. McCarren Park is a ten minute walk away!

Utilities:

Utilities come out to about $100–150 in winter and summer per person. When neither the heat nor the AC are on, utilities are $60–$80 per person.

About me:

I am a 28 year old law student. I love doing yoga, reading, going to museums, thrifting, and spending time with friends. My roommate is moving out of the state at the end of the lease, so hoping to find someone friendly, clean, and respectful to fill her room. My roommate and I give each other space to do our own things, but we also love to watch reality TV and take walks around the neighborhood together. We tend to clean as we go and do a monthly deep clean, alternating who cleans the bathroom, kitchen, and living room- I’m hoping to maintain that routine in the new lease term.

I’m looking for a roommate who:
- is in their late 20s/early 30s
- has proof of consistent income (guarantors also welcome)
- values a clean, calm, and respectful home

Small dogs are welcome, and cats are too if you are okay with having the litter box in your room!
