A tucked-away studio on one of San Francisco's original seven hills, right on the Filbert Steps, offered for short stays throughout May. You step through the front door and you're already outside, the entry opens directly onto an L-shaped wraparound porch with 360° views. The Bay Bridge stretches east, Yerba Buena and Treasure Island sit just across the water, and the city unfolds below. Mornings are full of light; afternoons have parrots singing (the wild flock of Telegraph Hill makes regular appearances); evenings drift into a quiet that's genuinely rare in the city.
The space itself is small, considered, and minimal, a Japanese-style queen futon with tatami mats on a low platform, hardwood floors, and a compact but complete kitchen with an espresso machine. Wi-Fi throughout. Everything you need, nothing you don't. An easel waits in the corner if you'd like to paint on the balcony.
Telegraph Hill is walkable to North Beach cafés, Coit Tower, and the waterfront, but the apartment itself feels private, quiet, and secluded, a real retreat from the city while still being in it. If you're driving, street parking is doable but trickier in North Beach; I'd recommend Sansome.

Looking for a respectful, considerate guest — ideally someone in town for creative work, a residency, research, or a quiet getaway. Full payment due before move-in, plus a refundable $500 security deposit.
Quiet stays only, no parties, no pets. One to two guests max. No laundry on site but a wash and fold a block away. This is an apartment on stairs and SF is known for its hills so keep this in mind when booking, it is not wheelchair friendly unfortunately.

Hi, I'm Maritza (she/her) — the tenant of this little perch on Telegraph Hill. I split my time between San Francisco and Los Angeles, where I run my small marketing studio, and I'm renting the studio this May while I spend more time down south.
I love this space, the light, the view, the parrots, the quiet and I'm looking for someone who'll enjoy it the way I do: slowly, and with care. I tend toward the tidy side and I'll leave the space clean, stocked with the basics, and ready for you to settle in.
