Our bright and comfy home is available over the holidays! The apartment is a sunny corner unit in a charming historic building on bustling Vanderbilt Ave in Prospect Heights.
The location truly can't be beat. You'll be just a few blocks from Prospect Park and Grand Army Plaza, right near several subway lines, and practically on top of a wide selection of delicious cafes, award-winning restaurants, fantastic bars, and quirky little shops of all kinds. We think you'll love it!
The apartment is 675 square feet. So, not huge. But my partner and I have put a lot of thought into the design and flow of the home, and it really is comfortable and workable for 2 people. Oversized south-west-facing windows and 9+ foot ceilings also make the entire apartment feel much larger than it is.
Our living/dining room opens through a set of french doors into a roomy office/lounge, which looks out over Vanderbilt Ave and the brownstones beyond. The bedroom has a queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress, a TV, two bedside tables, and plenty of space to store your clothes. The kitchen and bathroom are also relatively spacious for a NYC apartment, and both are flooded with plenty of natural light. Amenities include an in-unit washer and dryer, a full-size dishwasher, microwave, gas stove, super-fast Wi-Fi, and a 55" TV.
A bit more context about the building: We're on the top floor of a co-op with five other units like ours. Our neighbors are lovely. There is no doorman, although every unit has an intercom system to open the front door. The super is quite responsive should anything need his attention. We'll also be available via phone or text for any questions or concerns.
Caveats:
1) This is a fourth floor walk-up, meaning 3 full flights of stairs.
2) We unfortunately can't accommodate pets.
3) Smoking or vaping is 100% prohibited and the building is quite serious about it.
4) City noise is real, and light sleepers will struggle here. We hear garbage trucks, motorcycles outside, busses going by, etc. Sleeping with ear plugs solves this for us, but we know that it's not for everyone.
If this sounds like the place for you, please send us an email! We'd love to know how many nights you want to stay, whether another person will be joining you, and any other details you'd like to include.
Ideally, we'd like to find someone who can stay for at least a week between Dec 17 and Dec 29. However, if you need another arrangement, don't hesitate to reach out.
