We're renting our sunny Spanish-style cottage in the foothills of Mount Washington. This is a stand-alone, charming, quiet space with city views on a corner lot. The fully-furnished house has one bedroom, one bathroom, an eat-in kitchen, and a small closet office with a writing desk. Enjoy your morning coffee on the two-tiered backyard patio, which is larger than the house itself. Pick fresh lemons, limes, and guava off the trees or a bounty of vegetables from the garden. As my mom would say, "This is real California living."

The house is walkable to the metro, just two stops from downtown LA and two stops from Highland Park. Or, do as the locals do and take your car — the best bars, restaurants, and shops in HP are just a six minute drive away. Dodger Stadium is only nine minutes away.

Mount Washington is a lovely hillside neighborhood with incredible views in every direction. It's been called the Topanga Canyon of the East by optimistic real estate agents. From our front door, you can walk to the top of Kite Hill in ten minutes or visit the stunning gardens of the Self-Realization Fellowship in about 20. We're lucky to be low on the mountain so coffee shops and taco places are still walkable. It really is the best of both worlds.

The house is available from January 1st onward on a month-to-month basis. Start date is flexible — we're more than happy to work with you.
